Dr. Giordano has been in private practice since 1981. She graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1980. She then completed a General Practice Residency at University Hospital at SUNY Stony Brook. Dr. Giordano also held the position of Assistant Clinical Professor at the University Hospital Dental Department for five years, and has been in private practice in Commack, New York since 1984. Dr. Giordano is a general dentist whose special interest is in cosmetic dentistry as well as the integration of technology into her practice. Her background includes extensive continuing education courses focusing on the latest cosmetic dentistry procedures. She is a member of The American Dental Association, The New York State Dental Society, Suffolk County Dental Society, and is a member of the Peer Review Committee of the Suffolk County Dental Society. Dr. Giordano is also an active member of the Long Island Dental Forum, a subdivision of the Seattle Study Club. She is dedicated to excellence in dentistry, always striving for optimal dental health and esthetics for her patients. Everyone on staff at her office is committed to the delivery of that care in the most comfortable environment possible. Originally from the Bronx, Dr. Giordano currently lives in Dix Hills with her husband and two children.
Maureen, Patient Care Coordinator Maureen started her career in dentistry in 1973 in private practice as a chairside dental assistant in Queens. After receiving her dental assisting certification, her scope of practice broadened to include a hospital setting at St. Mary's Hospital in Brooklyn and Booth Memorial Medical Center in Queens. Maureen's competence extends to many disciplines in dentistry: Orthodontics, Prosthodontics, Endodontics and Oral Surgery with operating room experience.Maureen later relocated to Suffolk County and returned to the private practice setting, and currently lives in Smithtown with her husband and two daughters. Maureen has been working with Dr. Giordano since 1990, and by attending numerous continuing education courses over the years has kept up witht the many advances in dentistry. Her enthusiasm for all aspects of quality dentistry is contagious, and she is qualified to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Today, as Patient Care Coordinator, she assists patients in planning, scheduling, and financing their comprehensive oral health care. An asset to the practice, Maureen is here to help you !
Darlene, Dental Hygienist Darlene graduated from the State University of New York at Farmingdale with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 1982. She has kept her knowledge of health issues and dentistry current by taking continuing education courses, and is certified in CPR. Darlene has had to opportunity to work in various specialty offices including Orthodontics and Periodontics, and prides herself in thourough and compassionate patient care. Also very dedicated to her family, Darlene lives in Smithtown with her husband and three children. Darlene has had the pleasure of working with Dr. Giordano for the past 15 years and you can be assured that she will take excellent care of you!
Carolyn, Dental Hygienist
Carolyn started her career in dentistry as a certified dental assistant in 1975 after graduation from Walt Whitman HS and Wilson Tech. She then graduated from CUNY and taught Dental Assisting at the
Juliette, Dental Assistant Juliette was born and raised in Turkey and settled on Long Island several years ago with her husband and two children after living for a period of time in Canada. Juliette is fluent in four languages and last year was proud to become an American citizen. Her interests outide the office include sking, interior decorating, tennis, floral arrangement and cooking. Having extended family members in the dental field may have sparked Juliette's interest in dentistry and Juliette completed studies at the Dental Auxiliary Training Center in Westbury five years ago. Since that time, Juliette has been employed by a few different dentists and has worked as a temporary dental assistant at several office locations on Long Island. She has attended continuing education courses as a member of our staff and is certified in CPR. She has been a member of our team since the fall of 2001 and enjoys the close interaction she has with our patients. Her attention to detail and eagerness to serve assures that our patients have a quality dental experience. She will help you to feel at home in our office !
Zuleyma,Hygiene Coordinator Born and raised in El Salvador, Zuleyma came to New york at the age of 12 to join her extended family. Zuleyma graduated in 2006 with a Regents Diploma from Brentwood High School, and after having a variety of jobs, Zuleyma was hired and trained on the job as a dental assistant at the age of 19. Since joining our practice in September 2008, Zuleyma has participated in a number of continuing education programs, is also CPR certified and plans to further her education in health care. Her warm and friendly nature is part of the reason patients feel so at home in our office. A wife and proud mother of a beautiful little girl, "Zee" enjoys crafts and decorating as well as spending time at the beach.
Christina, Dental Assistant A native of Northport, Christina graduated from Northport High School with a leadership scholarship, and was in resturant management before deciding to enter the dental field. She graduated from the Dental Auxiliary Training Program at St. Charles Hospital in 2001 and spent the last several years working in Pediatric and General Dentistry before joining our team in 2008. Christina is always looking to explore new things and expand her education, and is CPR certified. Christina has also graduated from the Christine Valmy School for Esthetics and is a board certified Licensed Esthetician who is excellent at making our patients feel pampered. She loves to wait on people hand and foot !
Nicole, Dental Assistant Nicole was born and raised in Chile, and arrived in the United States in the year 2000. She graduated from Brentwood High School in 2006 as a member o the National Honor Society, and received and Advanced Regents Diploma. Nicole got her first opportunity as a dental assistant in 2004 and was trained on the job. After working for a few different dentist, Nicole became the newest member of our team last year. Nicole is very focused on a career in healthcare and continues to pursue her education. Nicole is an experienced dental assistant who strives to give all her patients the best attention and comfort. They appreciate her gentle nature and careful attention to detail. She loves summertime, and spends most of her free time at the beach with her adorable son. Her hobbies include jet skiing, water rafting and dancing.
